The Co-op Superstores Cork County Hurling Championships 2023

    We have enjoyed some fast paced and competitive games in recent weeks in the Co-Op Superstores Cork County Hurling Finals and we would like to extend our congratulations to winning clubs across Cork at all levels.The Co-op Superstores Cork County Premier Intermediate Hurling Final was played on at 2pm Sunday October 15th with Kilworth V Castlelyons.

    Castlelyons were crowned Co-op Superstores Cork County Premier Intermediate Hurling Champions 2023 after a thrilling game! The team won with a socre of  Castlelyons 0-19 Kilworth 0-17.

    Scorers for Castlelyons: A Fenton 0-7 (0-6 f, 0-1 65), L Doocey, A Spillane 0-4 each, K O’Leary 0-2, C Spillane, O Hallihan 0-1 each.

    Kilworth: M Sheehan 0-7 (0-6 f), B Sheehan, J Sheehan, E Carey 0-2 each, L Whelan, J Saich, C Donnellan, L Coffey 0-1 each.

    Leon Doocey was announced Co-op Superstores Man of the Match after an outstanding performance.
    The Co-op Superstores Cork County Premier Senior Hurling Final was also played on Sunday October 15th at 5pm with Sarsfield V Midleton.
    Sarsfield came out on top on the day and were announced Co-op Superstores Cork County Premier Senior Hurling Champions! The Team won with a score of Sarsfields 0-21 Midleton 0-19

     

    Scorers for Sarsfields: A Myers 0-12 (0-8f), Cathal McCarthy 0-4, J O’Connor 0-2, D Kearney, Colm McCarthy, D Hogan 0-1 each.

    Midleton: C Lehane 0-7 (0-4f), R O’Regan 0-3, P Haughney, M Finn (0-1 sideline) 0-2 each, T O’Connell, S O’Sullivan, P White, C Beausang, T O’Leary Hayes 0-1 each.

    Cathal McCarthy was awarded Co-op Superstores Man of the Match on the day after his outstanding effort on the day, pictured with Sean O’Brien Dairygold Co-operative Society Chairman.
