The Co-op Superstores Raceday welcomed Return of the Jumps at Cork Racecourse Mallow Sunday October 15th 2023.
2023 is the sixth successive year of our successful sponsorship of the race day at Cork Racecourse, Mallow and once again it proved to be an exciting day out for all! The weather was fresh but dry and a huge improvement on last year’s monsoon like weather conditions.
An amazing day was had and we would like to thank our staff, members and customers who joined us on the day. The day’s feature race on Sunday 15th October is the Co-Op Superstores Handicap Chase (Grade B) with a prize fund of €45,000.
The Co-Op Superstores Handicap Chase was won on Sunday by Typical Thomas, a dominant winner as the six-year-old scored in fine style on handicap debut for the Mark McDonagh and James Fahey team.Pictured here at the Cork Racecourse Mallow is John O’Carroll, Head of Retail Co- Op Superstores along with the horse Owner Heather Heffernan

Pegus Horse Feed sponsored the Best Turned Out Horse prize on the day. Pictured below was the Best turned Out prize for 2.35pm race, Erica groom of Pinyon Jay who is trained by Gorden Elliot along with Jane Patrick who is part of the Sales Team at Dairygold Agri Business who presented the prize.
